Common problems

Sonivora cannot find my server

Check that your server (Plex, Jellyfin or Audiobookshelf) is running and that Sonivora may access the local network (Settings › Apps › Sonivora). For use away from home, your server must be reachable from outside, with Plex through remote access. Under Settings › Account & server you see how Sonivora is reaching your server right now.

Audiobooks show up under music

Sonivora recognises audiobook libraries by their name. Choose under Settings › Library › Assign libraries which library holds audiobooks.

New music or audiobooks are missing

If your server doesn’t pick up new files by itself, start the scan in Sonivora: Settings › Account & server › Scan library files, for Audiobookshelf under Settings › Server › Audiobookshelf. Only server admins can do this (more).

The AI does not answer

With Sonivora AI: with a very large number of requests, the AI pauses until next month; under Settings › AI access › Sonivora AI you see when it is back. If Sonivora finds no active subscription, tap Restore purchases there. With your own key: tap Test connection under Settings › AI access › Your own key. Usually the key has expired or the credit with the provider has run out.

A download is waiting

Without cellular downloads, downloads wait until Wi-Fi is back. Under Settings › Downloads you can turn on Download over cellular.

Nothing starts in the car

See In the car and on Apple Watch. Sonivora must still be open in the background; iOS does not wake an app that has been closed.

Contact

Write to support@sonivora.app. In the app, Settings › Send feedback and Support prepare the email with the Sonivora version, the iOS version and the iPhone model; you see everything in it before you send it. Please never send us your Plex or Jellyfin access, an AI key or a password.
