AI player for your self-hosted library
Sonivora plays music, audiobooks and podcasts from your own server, with Plex or Jellyfin. The AI knows your collection: it puts mixes together, orders tracks for the best flow and finds what you want to hear next.
Closed beta. Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.

Real screens from the app. The sample library is made of public-domain works; the covers are details of public-domain paintings.
An AI that knows your collection. A player that steps back so the covers can shine.

It does not listen for you. It helps you hear again what you already have.
Say what you feel like. The AI DJ searches your music, audiobooks and podcasts, starts a mix and saves it as a playlist.
Orders an album, a playlist or the queue for the best flow, and mixes in fitting new tracks.
Learns from skipped tracks, ratings and what you tell the DJ. Long-term taste, current focus and the season.
Audiobook picks, new releases and discoveries beyond your library, each with a cover and a short reason.
Two ways to the AI: Sonivora AI for CHF 3 a month or CHF 30 a year, with the latest models from Anthropic and no key of your own, or your own key from Anthropic or OpenAI, and you pay them for what you use. Without AI, everything else works as usual.
AI everywhere
The AI works where you listen: on Home, in albums, in audiobooks and in podcasts.
The AI summarises a podcast episode and talks with you about it, based on the transcript, with timestamps to jump to.
Book summaries without spoilers, plus author portraits with a short biography. Researched once, then stored.
Once a week the AI searches the web for new albums and audiobooks by your artists and authors.
New shows that fit your subscriptions, your ratings and even your music, fresh every day.
In albums, the AI marks the hits and the tracks for you, and suggests similar albums, artists and audiobooks.
When a DJ mix nears its end, the AI extends it on its own.
A quick tour
Continue listening, shortcuts, new episodes and the AI’s picks. Home shows what you are listening to and what fits next.

Music, audiobooks and podcasts side by side, as a list or as covers. Favourite songs, artists, albums, tracks and genres are a tap away.

Detail pages take their colour from the cover while everything else stays calm. Play, shuffle or AI Shuffle: one tap.

A sharp cover, swipe to change tracks, a queue and sound details with explanations. You always see where the sound goes: headphones, car, Bluetooth or AirPlay.

Three ways to listen
Each gets what it needs, and all of them share one player.
Music
Sonivora plays your library straight from your server, Plex or Jellyfin, in original quality or converted to save space, as you prefer.

Audiobooks
The progress of every book is synced with Plex, and your listening position also through iCloud: on every device you pick up where you were last.

Podcasts
Search and trends from the Podcast Index, subscriptions by RSS. For podcasts alone you do not even need Plex.

Wherever you listen
Find and group rooms, hand playback straight from your Plex server to the speakers, volume per room.
Send albums, playlists and podcast episodes to your watch.
Download albums, playlists, audiobooks, favourite songs and single episodes. Downloads over cellular can be turned off.
CarPlay is coming soon. Already today, Sonivora notices when your iPhone connects to the car and keeps playing on its own.
Stats
Listening time, top artists and songs, quests, a league, badges and records, separately for music, audiobooks and podcasts. In December, your year in review arrives.

Privacy
Sonivora talks to your server, not to ours. We keep no account about you and do not store what you listen to.
Your Plex access and your AI key are stored encrypted on your iPhone.
With Sonivora AI, our relay passes your requests on to Anthropic without storing them. With your own key, they go straight to the provider.
The backup lives in your private iCloud space, which we cannot see.
Sonivora keeps them on your device. Whether you share one is up to you.
Two things run through small relays of ours on Cloudflare, so that no key sits inside the app: podcast search and trends, and Sonivora AI if you use it. Neither keeps logs or stores anything about what you listen to. Read the privacy policy
Sonivora is in a closed beta right now. It is coming to the App Store soon, with Android to follow on Google Play. You can request a beta spot by email.
Your music, audiobooks and podcasts live on your own server, such as a NAS or a Mac, and Plex or Jellyfin serves them. Sonivora plays them from there; none of it is stored with us.
An iPhone with iOS 26 or later and a Plex or Jellyfin server with your music and audiobooks. For podcasts alone you need no server. For the AI, Sonivora AI or your own key; Sonos and an Apple Watch are optional.
Yes, for podcasts. If you skip signing in, Sonivora shows only podcasts. For music and audiobooks you need a Plex or Jellyfin server.
Sonivora AI costs CHF 3 a month or CHF 30 a year, through the App Store and cancellable at any time; in other currencies the App Store shows a matching price. It covers normal listening well; with a very large number of requests, the AI pauses until next month.
With your own key you pay your provider directly for what you use; Sonivora counts your usage and estimates the cost. Without AI, everything else works as usual.
Sonivora AI runs on the latest models from Anthropic. With your own key, Anthropic and OpenAI work; the key stays in your iPhone’s Keychain and takes priority over the subscription.
Yes. Download albums, playlists, audiobooks, favourite songs and single episodes. You decide whether downloads use cellular data.
