Search, subscribe, new episodes, chapters, transcripts and summaries from the AI.
Find podcasts
In the Search tab you find new shows from the open Podcast Index; under Library › Podcasts are Popular podcasts and Podcast picks for you. A show that is not listed there you add with Add via RSS address; the address is usually on the podcast’s website.
Subscribe and new episodes
Tap Subscribe. The latest episodes of your subscriptions appear under New episodes, also on Home. Tap the bell and Sonivora tells you about every new episode, even when the app is closed; Sonivora needs permission to send notifications for this.
Download new episodes automatically downloads a show’s new episodes, and under Settings › Podcasts you decide when played episodes are deleted (Delete played episodes).
Your podcasts opens all subscriptions as a list: searchable (Search subscriptions) and sorted By name, By newest episode or By stars. Swipe there to end a subscription.
Up next
Play next adds an episode to your Up next list. Episodes you have started are under Continue listening.
Inside an episode
If the show provides chapters and a transcript, you find them under Chapters and Transcript. Summarize episode has the AI summarise the episode. If the episode has a transcript, Talk about the episode with the AI lets you talk with the AI about it: it explains, puts things in context and names timestamps you can jump to. Search episodes finds a particular episode of a show; the podcast’s name in an episode leads back to the show.
Picks and languages
Podcast picks for you fit your subscriptions, your ratings and your music. Sounds good or Not my thing helps the AI with the next picks. Under Languages you choose the languages in which search, picks and the AI DJ show podcasts.
Press and hold a pick to choose Like or Dislike; this works for other recommendations too. More tips fetches three new ones.
Your own Podcast Index key
Search, trends and picks run through a relay of Sonivora; you do not need a key of your own. If you have a free key from api.podcastindex.org, enter it under Settings › Podcasts › Use your own key; the app then asks the Podcast Index directly.
